A pool table is a very heavy piece of furniture and it needs to be taken apart in order to move it properly with out causing major damage to the frame and to the slate playing top. Disassembling a pool table involves a simple process of removing the felt and rails (cushions). Then the slate is carefully unbolted from the frame of the pool table and the seems are delicately separated (on a 3 piece slate table). The slate pieces are carefully packaged as not to damage them during the move. The plastic or leather pockets are removed and then the pool table frame is ready to be moved and loaded in a truck if the pool table will be going to another location. If the pool table is only being moved from one room to the other then it will then go into that room or garage for storage.
